To My Big Papa Bear

Yesterday my daddy turned 58.  He is almost 60.  Oh my gosh!!!  Ha ha:)  Just kidding daddy.  Well technically he is almost 60.  But he does not like it when I say that.  So I will stop saying it until next year when he turns 59.  And then I will just have to be mean and remind him of how many days until he will be 60.  I know, I'm such an awesome daughter.

Anyway, my daddy is the best.  I will have to say I am a daddy's girl.  Even with our little squabbles here and there.  He knows that I love him, and will always be there for him.  And trust me, we have had our share of disagreements.  But we always come out of the other side with more love and more understanding for each other.

My daddy is a big cuddly bear.  He is an awesome grandpa.  He is a Harley Davidson rider wanna be.  He is a great believer in our MIGHTY, HEALING God, his famous words.  He will do anything for us 4 kids, even if he puts it off until the very last second:).  He is one of the most friendliest man I know, seriously, he will go up and make conversation with anyone and everyone.  He has such an imaginative mind, meaning he sees something and has vision of it being great, such as a new house he was building from the ground up, a hot tub, an old truck, a fish tank.  These things might not ever get finished, but I know his intentions are good, even if we give him a hard time.  My daddy is also a bone cancer survivor.  He just got word from the doctor, that no more chemo, no more maintenance, no more cancer.  It was a very scary road, but he made it, and I couldn't be more happier for my daddy.

He has always been here for me when I have needed money, when I have needed help with the car, when I have needed help to move, when I have needed an extravagant wedding at Coors Field, when I have needed to jump on a flight to Oklahoma or anywhere else in the world (he works for United Airlines), and when I have needed to call and bug someone, which I do a lot.  He He!!!

What can I say.  I love you so much daddy.  You are the best daddy in the whole wide world.  You are everything to me.  And I am so thankful to have you in my life.  Happy 58th, almost 60th, birthday.

"But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it still hard to give her away
I loved her first"
